iPhone 7+ or iPhone 8+?
Hi all! I know this is a topic with many discussions already but I couldn’t find one that helped me decide. I wish to get your opinions based on your personal experiences especially now that it’s been several months since the release of the 8+.
Recently, my LG phone fell out of my pocket at a parking stop on the side of the highway and I’ve been phoneless since. I’m stuck deciding between the iPhone 7+ and the 8+.
I don’t really care for the wireless/quick charging capabilities of the 8+, but I plan on keeping whichever phone I buy for several years (at least 5) so it’s performance in the long-run will be important to me.
I don’t use that many apps other than social media, mobile banking, and shopping. I don’t download any music as I stream with Pandora/Spotify but I do enjoy taking pictures/videos.
Another redditor did mention that the 7+ will stop receiving support/updates a year earlier than the 8+ so yeah.
But I am worried about the 8+’s glass back so I’m wondering what your experiences with the glass back is so far?
** I will be getting a case regardless, but am worried that the glass can still crack with a case on **
I also recently discovered Google Photos (I know I’m late to the game) so I’ll probably upload all my photos/videos there.
Currently, the prices offered to me are the following:
– iPhone 7+ (red) 128GB for $769.99
– iPhone 8+ 64GB for $799.99
I never had a phone with 64GB storage (16GB on the 5s and 32GB on my previous LG that I had for 5 months) so I’m not sure if 64GB is too little or not when considering the fact that I will use this phone for as long as possible.
With a difference of $30 should I sacrifice half of the storage for better performance, longer support, and a better camera or should I stick with the 7+?
