I have a Gen 1 (or so) iPad in reasonably good condition physically, but obviously no newer apps work on it. How can I practically use this old iPad?
I was thinking of using this old iPad as a learning device (for me) to digest info products, online courses and the like. Essentially a business learning tablet, but … I can’t even install Dropbox on it nor any seemingly modern application thus I can’t get access to any of my digital files (stored in the cloud).
I don’t want to focus on Dropbox as that’s just one example of the apps I tried and couldn’t get to work.
This iPad is in still good physical working condition, just …. seems like I can’t get any apps on it.
What would ya’ll recommend I do with an iPad this old? Any practical uses for it? Cause other than a PDF digestion machine and simple media viewer (IF I could get any apps loaded on it) there doesn’t seem to be much use.
You might be thinking: “just buy a newer used iPad”. But that kinda defeats the purpose of somehow making this one function, it costs more monies that I don’t feel like spending and I don’t need / want any more devices at home.
Or maybe I should just wipe it and give it away to charity?
