Am I the only one who actually likes Siri on HomePod?
She’s honestly not that bad.
Been using my HomePod for the last few days, and her responses have been witty at times, cracking jokes and whatnot.
Asked her to play some baby making music and she responded with, “that’s my queue!” And started an intimate playlist. She actually has a personality! Alexa literally says “Okay” no matter what you say to her. So basic.
Not to mention Siri doesn’t sound like as much of a robot as her competition. I think it was after the iOS 11 update that they changed her voice to sound more natural, and it definitely shows compared to Alexa or Google Assistant.
I’m also really impressed with how damn fast she is at controlling my HomeKit stuff. My Hue lights respond nearly instantly after my commands, whereas with Alexa it takes a couple seconds for Alexa to respond and half the time she doesn’t even understand what I’m asking. Siri on HomePod has understood my requests nearly 100% of the time, no matter how I phrase them.
Also, with a HomeBridge server running, I’m able to control my Nest Cameras and Thermostat all from within the Home app or using Siri!
Seriously pondering the thought of replacing all of my Echos with HomePods soon. It’s that much better. All I need is some support for Logitech Harmony and it’ll be a lock.
Have you guys learned any new tricks with Siri since the launch of the HomePod?
