Has anyone else here switched to a competitor’s product and deeply regretted it?
I’m going off to college in the next year and I’m a high school senior. This past July, my parents wanted to get me a computer for my birthday for my future studies and to help out with homework and such.
Knowing that I’m a bit of a technology nerd, they let me choose the laptop I wanted, provided that it doesn’t cost too much money. We originally got the 2017 MacBook Pro and I loved the integration so much with my phone and Apple Watch. Trying to get a better deal however, I saw an HP Spectre x360 (2017) which was rated highly as well and provided more value. (16 GB RAM, instead of 8, 512 GB SSD instead of 128, and a better processor). My family has only used Apple devices, so I wanted to make a new switch. I use Windows at school, also. So, we returned the Mac.
Going into many months down the line, unfortunately, I have had so many issues with this computer. I’ve had to have it repaired twice, and the quality isn’t as good with my other Apple products. I wish I stayed with my Mac, but now it’s too late, and I don’t have the money to buy a new one.
Has this happened to anyone else?
