My wish for iOS 12: Disable Voice Control
At this moment, you can disable Siri only to leave Voice Control turned on. You can then turn off Voice Dial, but Voice Control cannot be turned off.
I never used Siri or Voice Control on my phone and I probably never will. What I do use very often is the Music app and my EarPods to listen to music. When I am outside, I naturally use the headset on the EarPods to play/pause the music when the phone is in my pocket, so I don’t have to take it out.
Often, when I want to play the music again after pausing it, I unwillingly activate Voice Control instead. What bugs me the most is that this happens only sometimes and I cannot figure out what makes it activate Voice Control instead of the music. It seems to me there is no rule to this, or maybe I fail to see it.
This is why I would like Apple to give us the ability to turn it off completely, so it doesn’t interfere any more. I don’t understand why does Voice Control have to be on all the time, in the first place.
If anyone has some insight on this, please do share.
