Wrong album artwork when syncing to phone
So, a couple of months ago I stopped using Spotify Premium and went over to just playing downloaded tracks. I decided to try it out, and turns out that I just missed the joy of finding an album and sending it to the phone. Makes me miss the Limewire days.
It was all fine and dandy until I synced an album to the phone and it displayed the wrong cover. On iTunes I know how to change the album artwork, so iTunes seems to be ok, it’s just that the problem happens when sending to the phone. The problem occured maybe every third album or so. Now, a couple of months later, it just always shows the same album cover, no matter what I do.
I’ve tried a couple of things (Making the folders Read Only, deleting the album artwork cache, emptying the library and resyncing, only syncing albums when offline, etc., nothing happens.) Always the same cover. It used to cycle between maybe 3 covers that it assigns randomly, but then it just gave up and now gives the same album cover to everything I send over.
Many of these tracks are ripped from CDs to iTunes, bought from different websites like Bandcamp and many of them I even forgot how I got them.
I read that Apple Music might have something to do with this, but I’ve never even used my 3 month trial, so I doubt that’s the problem.
This shouldn’t be a huge problem, but for me, playing music is easily the most important thing for me, and although it doesn’t affect the sound quality, it drives me mad looking at the same cover with on so many tracks. If anyone has had the same problem and managed to fix it I’d love to know.
