Instagram has a full-featured web app, yet there’s still no native iPad app. How is this possible?
Instagram’s web app has everything built in except direct messages, yet Facebook has refused to release a proper iPad app.
There are so many content creators that use iPads and share their work on Instagram, yet iPad users only option is to use the web interface or the iPhone app (which does not matches iPad screen resolution, thus looking terrible)!
Instagram is one of the biggest social networks, yet iPad users are forced to use an enlarged and pixellated iPhone app.
EDIT: /u/Hunkir confirmed that **native iPad support is already built into the app,** but it’s disabled by default. Simply [replacing a number in a configuration file](https://reddit.com/r/apple/comments/8q5gab/_/e0hoo8m/?context=2) enables proper iPad support instead of the terrible 2x enlarged iPhone 4 app the rest of the users have to endure. So the app is already ported to iPad, yet Facebook refuses to release it?!
