Does a decent alternative to Onenote exist, for taking notes with both the Apple Pencil and with text?
I know that this question is being asked all the time, but I’m wondering if there’s a better alternative out there instead of Onenote. I’ve been using Onenote for a while now for taking notes with the Apple Pencil and keyboard, but I’m not a big fan of the Onenote UI, the options for formatting texts and pen inputs are limited, I’m not a fan of having to use your Microsoft account to sync your notes to your PC and the formatting gets messed up when you look at your notes on the desktop.
I got Goodnotes 4 and it has the best Pencil functionality out of all the apps I’ve tried, but the text input functionality is a pain to use when you need to take notes quick, and formatting the text afterwards is a pain.
Right now I basically have to use Google Documents and Goodnotes 4 in split screen and type text in Google Docs and take notes with the Pencil in Goodnotes 4, then copy the text from Docs to Goodnotes and format everything after I’m done taking notes, which isn’t exactly ideal.
So does a better alternative to Onenote exist? I pretty much only need something like Google Docs with the ability to draw with the Pencil, and I don’t need cross platform syncing either but being able to export your notes as a PDF so I can put them in my Dropbox would be nice to have.
