STEM majors. I want to know what (free) apps you have on your IPad and your setup.
Are you a Natural Science, Engineering, and Math majors, what (free) apps you are using that you find essential for everyday use on your tablet? I know big name notetaking apps (**Notability, Goodnotes, OneNotes**) will popup. Tell me **why** you need and **what** you use those apps for. If you have tried multiple apps in the same category, why did you choose X over Y? So basically a **brief review** of your chosen apps like below.
For practicality and academic sake, let’s exclude **gaming apps (e.g. Fornite) and social media apps (Reddit, FaceBook, Instagram, etc)**. But “productive hobby” apps like **music** or **art (photography, cooking, design, etc)** are free to share.
Also I want to keep this as $$$ friendly as possible because some of these app do add up eventually. So if you could, add a (free) following the name of your app should it be free.
I will start, but I have very little apps to even begin with.
1. **Documents** (free): This app literally turned my IPad into a computer. I even use this to keep my music, but at present I do not know if there is a better app for storing music. If there is please tell me.
2. **Piascore** (free, upgradable): I wish the ink marked on the scores would be permanent, but the paid version lets you save the score as a pdf. If Documents have the other musical features not found in this app, I’d never download this app. I am almost certain every music person knows this app.
3. **MangaRock** (free, upgradable): Here is a pro-tip. Turn off Wifi to get the “paid” version. Or just download one manga at a time. I wish there was an anime app like this.
4. **AdGuard** (free): This thing sucks lol. I have a better time adding filters to Adblock on my browser apps (FireFox Focus) than this. Never got around to uninstall this.
As you can see everything I have are free because I came from a computer perspective and have gotten everything I ever wanted via torrents, so the idea of paying apps on the App store is still new to me and I am the type to google endlessly for hours to look for a free option instead of sucking it up and paying $5 for simple stuff.
