Software update = logout of Mail app?
Tl;dr: Will updating software log me out of Mail app? If so, is the iCloud login info a guaranteed way to log back in, or is it possible that login is through a different email/password combo?
I’ve come to ask:
1. If updating my software will log me out of Mail app?
2. If the login for the Mail app is exclusively the same as login info for iCloud?
Sorry for my iOS illiteracy. The reason I’m concerned about this is that I’ve inherited my mom’s MacBook Air, and I can’t let the Mail app be logged out of (unless it’s simply exclusively accessed by the iCloud login info) because there’s a lot of information in her emails that I still need to backup elsewhere. I have her iCloud login info, but she had several email accounts (which I don’t have passwords for) attached to the Mail app, so if there’s a possibility that login info is something other than iCloud info, I shouldn’t risk it just yet.
Thanks so much for any advice! Please let me know if I need to clarify anything.
