Any way to upgrade iPhone 5s from 10.1.1 to 10.3.3?
tl;dr – have iPhone 5s, want to upgrade to 10.3.3, but that version is unsigned. Any way to do this? Do not want iOS 11.
So my trusty old iPhone 5s finally died. I had been running iOS 11 on it and dreading most of my interactions with it — it was slow as molasses and the battery barely lasted a work day. I’m a sucker for the smaller screen and was waiting anxiously for an iPhone SE2 announcement at WWDC.
I’m now using my fiancée’s old iPhone 5s which she hasn’t used since iOS 10 and *it feels like a brand new phone*. Everything runs WAY faster than iOS 11 and the OS’ design is clearly still optimized for small screens (iOS 11 made a lot of things much larger, which favors larger screens).
One key app that I like to use regularly only works on 10.3.3 or above, I assume because it’s the most secure OS that still works on an iPhone 5s. I’d like to upgrade to 10.3.3. Is this possible? I’m willing to try some gnarly stuff to make it happen, though I’d prefer not to be in a jailbroken state when the dust settles.
