Anyone having trouble seeing Apple Pencil markups on PDFs?
Hey folks – I have the iPad (not Pro) that came out in March 2018 – the one that works with the Pencil. Updated iOS to the latest version.
I want to fill out timecards for work with the Pencil instead of using paper. So the timecards come as a PDF – awesome. Then I write all over them in black with the Pencil – awesome. Then I save the document, quit, put it in Dropbox and send it off to our operations manager – only she can’t see what I wrote on her Mac. She’s running Yosemite. I look at it on her computer and confirm that the writing is not there. I try looking at the PDF on my Mac that’s running Mavericks – can’t see anything there, either.
What’s weird is that if I do a quick view of the PDF on my Mac, I can see the writing. I do that by selecting the file and pressing the space bar – a small window pops up showing the document with the writing on it intact! When I open it in Preview, however, the writing is not there.
Any ideas? Any way around this? Is this happening to anyone else? It would be HUGE if I could stop printing stuff out – I just want to do the writing with the Pencil.
