Sear for explanation: iPad could wouldnt charge with Charger, only with MacBook
I‘m looking for an explanation for a strange behavior of my 10.5 iPad Pro.
I didn‘t use the iPad during my vacation, so i‘ve shut it down with about 5-10% of charge remaining (i know that‘s not enough, but that‘s not the topic here). I connected it to the Plug yesterday at about 10 PM (61W MBP-Charger with OEM Apple USB-C to Lightning cable). It had about 4% of Charge at this time. Today in the morning at 6:30 it only had gained 3%. I tried another cable without better results. Another Charger had no effect either and with the 12.5W Charger it only showed „not charging“. I then prepared to have my iPad exchanged at an AppleStore b/c i thought, that some of the charging electronic might be faulty. So i did an Backup with iTunes on my MacBook. And what happened? It started Charging quite fast (5% only during the duration of the backup). I then tried again charging it via the MacBook charger and this time it charged at normal USB PD speeds. Does any1 know what has happened here? I allready called AppleCare but they told me, that they never had this problem and that they have no idea about what was going on.
