iPhone 6 Screen Fault! Anyone any advice?
Hello, I was fixing a phone for one of my friends who had cracked the screen and is expecting it to be returned to him tomorrow. I replaced the screen and doing everything perfectly but the 4 ribbon cables do not fold down in order therefor I have had to adapt and twist them around slightly to make room for the others, I don’t know if it is supposed to be like this or not but because of this when I put on the metal piece that protects the cables the phone turns goes into a loop or does not turn on completely. I then took off the metal protection piece over the ribbon cables and just tried to clip the screen in to see if the phone would work as it is. When the screen is clipped in the iPhone will not even turn on at all but with the screen slightly clipped out it works perfectly, albeit underneath may be slightly vulnerable. I have absolutely no clue what I should do, has this ever happened to anyone else? Does anyone have the solution to this? Thank you!
TL;DR – Replace iPhone 6 Screen for a friend and screen knocks off every time I connect it into the iPhone but works perfectly if it is hanging out slightly.
Edit: Finally found out what the problem was! The home button cable at the bottom was damaged and the cable at the home button at the top was plugged in, I removed both of them from their sockets and the phone is working perfectly only without a home button. Thanks for the help everyone.
