iPad 2018 for £280 or iPad Pro for £500
I know this is a common question, but as the prices are slightly different for me thanks to a family member’s employment at John Lewis, I thought it might be worth asking anyway as I am aware the answers often come down to value.
I guess my question is whether an iPad Pro at £500 is too good of a deal to turn down, regardless of how much cheaper the standard model is and whether that would be okay for my needs.
Mostly I see it as a media consumption device. I do have a 2014 Macbook Pro for more heavy lifting, like video editing on Final Cut, but would be curious to know whether at this point an iPad Pro may actually be more future proof than that.
Aware new Pros expected next month, but wouldn’t be able to get one of those at this price point.
