It really pisses me off when I want to use Apple Pay somewhere and they tell me they cant simply because they don’t know they have to hit one extra button on the register
I work in retail myself (this also applies to restaurants) so I understand not knowing every detail about ringing someone up but it really is such a simple task to do. And the fact that I’ll ask if a place has Apple Pay (or if I already know they do), go to use it, then the cashier tells me it won’t work and I have to use my card simply because they don’t know it’s a problem on their end, really frustrates me. And I’m not about to tell them it’s their fault because simply I wouldn’t know how to explain it to them on their end with all the different systems for every store, so I will just silently keep my frustration to myself and reluctantly swipe my card like I’m living in the stone ages.
EDIT: I want to clarified the reason it actually makes me mad, is for the fact that they tell me it won’t work, like it’s an issue with my Apple Pay or their machine, when it boils down to the person not knowing/wanting to do a VERY simple task on their part
