Apple Support put a hold on replacement iPhone X
My girlfriend has an iPhone X that has a hardware issue and the guy in support approved having it express replaced and waived the fee for the express shipping yesterday, saying it would only be 24 hours until we could get the new phone. We immediately paid the fee that was to be held until they received the other phone ($1200+) with her credit card yesterday. Today comes and no shipment, and the status just says it will be shipped soon. We called back the support guy and he checked the status and said it was a credit card hold… She used this same card to pay for an express replacement a few months ago when her original iPhone X hard a hardware issue and it was shipped right away. Support is saying that there is no way to get around the hold. I used to work with billing and know that an authorization either is accepted or it fails, and support told us it didn’t fail, which means the hold is on Apple’s end. My girlfriend NEEDS this phone for work tomorrow and its looking like Apple screwed her over. Is there anyone that can PM me a contact high up at Apple?
