Apple not acknowledging iPhone 7 “no service” issue
Backstory: I’ve had iPhones for 7 years now, made several warranty claims, and never had an issue with Apple. They always get it right for me.
My iPhone 7 even had the “no service” failure that plagued many units and I got it fixed with little effort. Now my sister-in-law is having the same problem, I’m trying to help her, and getting a completely different reaction from Apple service.
They are steadfastly saying it’s not the warranty-covered issue…apparently because they were able to reset the phone and regain service in the Apple store. It’s clear to me it’s the same issue, even Best Buy techs agree, but Apple doesn’t.
When my phone had the problem, a reset would usually fix it for a few hours until a complete failure happened. So I’m not surprised they could get it working in store.
Me being rather savvy in dealing with Apple, I tried talking to them on her behalf, still to no avail. This experience is causing me to question my views of their customer service. This long winded story is all to say: anyone else had an interaction with Apple such as this?
