iPhone 8 Battery Swelling
I realize this might be a pretty bad time to make this sort of post since the world is moving onto the XS/XS Max/XR in several weeks’ time, but I just noticed this morning that the top of my mom’s iPhone 8 was jutting out of its case. I went to fix it this morning just to notice that the left side of the phone was basically blown open. I don’t have pictures, but any of the Google Images results for “iphone 8 swelling” show exactly what I saw. The internet doesn’t seem to have too much information on this phenomenon outside of it happening around the launch of the phone and that “Apple is looking into causes” If anyone could explain what could have possibly happened, I’d like to know. My mom never heavily used her phone. For her, it’s 99% used just for phone calls and texts for work and some very light puzzle/anagram games on occasion. It was always in one of those battery cases and she always took very good care of the unit.
~~I actually don’t care too much since this is an excellent excuse for the whole family to upgrade our phones, but some explanation would be nice lol~~
