Clamshell mode on Retina Macbook Pro on Windows w/ bootcamp?
Hi, I’ve got two macbook pros – one with OS X and one with Windows on (need Visual Studio occasionally and it runs too slowly in VMWare). I have them both plugged into a display with power on.
The Windows one seems to go to some sort of “sleep” regardless of my settings/closing the lid after so long (hours or days – not entirely sure). Specifically it seems to drop network connection which is a total pain because I can’t RDP into it if I need to grab a file remotely, which is what I use it for most of the time.
I was thinking of trying a USB ethernet adaptor to see if that would help, but anyone have any ideas? I’ve tried every setting in Windows I can find to do with power and I’ve also tried leaving it open without closing the lid, but it still occurs.
