Whether you have an iPad with 4 or 6 GBs of RAM it will perform the same for 99.9% of you
I keep seeing posts asking for the RAM amounts in the new ipads. I am pretty certain it is confirmed at this stage that 1TB models have 6 gigs while all the other models have 4 gigs of onboard RAM.
Assuming the RAM is the same speed and has the same timings this should result in NO PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCE between the models.
I have seen far too many posts claiming they need CPU benchmarks for the different RAM models as if the RAM amount is somehow going to give drastically different scores.
In the very unlikely scenario you somehow use your ipad for something that needs more than 4GBs of RAM at once then yes those extra 2GBs will help you. But if you were never able to slow you previous iOS devices down because of RAM usage you sure as hell won’t be slowing this one down regardless of available RAM.
TL;DR: Stop thinking you NEED 6GBs of RAM because you more than likely don’t.
