Am I the only person that thinks it is useful to have control of alerts volume?
On my iPhone I wish it was easier to change the volume of alerts (I don’t want them matched to normal volume adjustments) but it’s not the end of the world because I have a physical switch on the side of my phone that changes alert volume from whatever it was to zero (silenced).
I get that they don’t want to add/include this button that is fine – but I can’t understand why alerts volume isn’t in control center. Hell it should be there on the iPhone too- but at the least the iPhone should have a soft button that represents the hard button on the iPhone. I went to configure control center – figured it has to be in there. Nope. Ok I figured I’ll just have to write a shortcut that sets the alert volume to zero or 55% or whatever and just toggle it instead, I can even add it to the shortcuts widget,
Hop into shortcuts – alert volume not a variable that can be controlled. What design assumption did apple make that led to this function being such a pain to interact with? Maybe no one else needs this like I think they do ?
