How’s Swift Playground on the early 2018 iPad and need some advice on picking a new iPad.
I am on the market for a new tablet. The last tablet I had was the iPad Air 1 when it came out but it broke 2 years ago and didn’t have another tablet since then. I just recently bought a Fire HD 10 and kinda not loving it. I bought it mainly for media consuming for my commute. But its a bit clunky and limited apps are the real killer for me. I have Amazon Prime and use the kindle and amazon video app constantly on my tiny iPhone 7.
I just found out about the Swift playground today by walking in the apple store and playing around with the iPads. I’m currently a student and learning swift this way looks very fun. My university doesn’t have a class on swift and I already know c++, python, and java but always wanted to learn swift. I tried youtube-ing my way to learn It and playing around with it on Xcode but it never stuck with me.
I just want minimalistic iPad with good amount of storage. Price doesn’t scare but spending more than what I’m going to use it for does. I kinda want the new iPad Pro 10 inch but its a bit much for what I want to use it for. I’m not an artist but I do draw on my free time. I have a MBP late 2016 w/o Touch Bar and built my own gaming PC so I don’t really need power. But the early 2018 iPad is also pretty good for what I need and it handles exactly like my iPad Air 1. The iPad mini 4 was also on my interest because the size is perfect for my need but not being compatible with the apple pencil and it being the oldest tech kinda scares me.
what you guys think I should do?
