TouchID vs FaceID on the iPad.
After using FaceID on my iPad for the last month, I think I prefer TouchID.
A lot of my use case involves having the iPad flat on a table and reading. Since my face is at an angle, TouchID fails and I need to either enter my unlock code or try FaceID again and lift the iPad.
I have same problem when I am using it in bed. iPad flat on the mattress. I unlock and I am not at the proper angle and need to move the device.
I’ve also failed to unlock it because I had the camera covered with my hand.
It has also failed to unlock because it’s midnight, my wife is asleep and I have the lights off in the bedroom. It’s too dark to pick up my face.
TouchID seemed to work 100% of time and didn’t care about lighting, or angle.
FaceID is a cool technology that fails more often for me than TouchID did.
