QUESTION: Considering leaving my iPhone and moving to (any other phone w/Hotspot) + iPad, and whether that combo is beneficial vs using a single phone (ex. iPhone X)
I want to get rid of any older iPhone and I was gifted a newer Android. I prefer the Apple ecosystem, and have invested a lot into it (apps), but have been offered a decent amount for my old iPhone and I could buy myself an iPad with that $.
If I buy an iPad, I could use the android (as my phone) and hotspot my iPad (when needed, as I don’t use apps that often) and use my existing apple apps and continue to chat with those on iMessage.
Wondering if anyone can see any flaws in this thinking (outside of obvious “you’ll have to rebuy certain apps” or “you’re carrying two instead of one, now”).
To all who answered, I was able to view you replies, but not log into my account until today. I thank you all for your advice and counsel. I ended up in the same ecosystem (Apple) with an iPad and used the proceeds for the Andoroid to help pay for an iPad Pro. Not wanting to be sheeple about it, but I find that it is much easier this way. Thanks again.
