Please join us in welcoming our new moderators! (plus, some other news)
We’ve been hard at work making some changes to /r/apple, and we thought we’d share what’s been going on.
The biggest change we’ve made is bringing on four new moderators! We received 136 applications, and while there were a LOT of qualified and great applicants, we can’t add them all. Please join us in welcoming **/u/aaronp613, /u/LeafSamurai, /u/Anthonyvardiz, and /u/mrhelpful_** to the mod team! As /r/apple continues to grow (we should be hitting a million subscribers around June!), we are finding ourselves needing more and more help. So we hope these additions make a big difference in your daily experience.
To anyone using the desktop version of (old)Reddit, you probably noticed the absence of the Apple logo and the addition of a boring, plain header. To make a long story short, we were required to make some changes if we didn’t want to be shut down. So we spent the last few weeks working out the new header in a way that would keep us out of trouble. Hope you like it! And if you notice any weird glitches with the CSS, [let us know](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2Fapple)… because it happens from time to time when you make changes.
###/r/Apple Rules Wiki
We added this awhile ago, but it became abundantly clear that the minimal rule descriptions in the sidebar just weren’t cutting it for most people. So in an attempt to be clear on why we make certain rules and what qualifies under certain rules, we put together a detailed Wiki to explain it all. If you ever have any concerns regarding what is and isn’t allowed, [please check it out](https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/wiki/rules)! We tried to be as detailed as possible, but we’re not perfect… so if you see any rules that need more clarification, please [let us know](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2Fapple).
If have any questions, feel free to comment below! We’ll be monitoring this thread and will respond as soon as possible.
