My Apple Store Experience….
Just need to come here and vent a little…
I was visiting an Apple store today because of an issue with my phone my Microphone barely works, everyone has a hard time hearing me. After a few months of dealing with it (I have AirPods and isn’t a main concern of mine just a mild annoyance if I get a phone call while
In bed for example.) I decided to get it remedied because I had a personal day today for work.
Greeted the old fashion Apple way, waited for my Genius who came. (Bit over an hour wait no big deal standard) pleasant experience by itself. He’s diagnosing the issue, we confirm that the bottom right speaker / microphone is faulty and I’ll need a replacement. Awesome!
During this process we have to take off my iPhone case, unfortunately for me when he stepped away to get my replacement, my 7 son knocked my phone off the table, he was getting restless for waiting patiently and accidentally knock it off the table with his foot. (He was trying to lay on the table and I had to consistently stop him)… Now my phone has a slight crack on the bottom corner of the screen, very small but it’s there… Well, after explaining to the Apple rep what happened, he claims he can no longer replace my defective phone because of the crack, even after my many attempts of assuring him it wasn’t cracked when I came in it just literally happened because you guys have us remove the case from the phone to diagnose them! I even pleaded with him, I told him “You had and inspected the phone and knew it wasn’t there when we started… “ So it’s either pay $279 to fix a screen I wouldn’t even bother to fix in the first place since the crack is so small and unnoticeable, but now I have a cracked phone and my microphone doesn’t work. Basically a tablet now.
I pleaded to no avail, claims he might of not seen it and I brought it in that way, other customers vouched for me. No luck. Now I have a cracked faulted phone.
Here’s my vent, it’s unfortunate….
