Macbook Pro (2016 – 2018) crappy keyboard
Background, I work a local electronic store that mainly sells Apple products and other related stuff and also fixes apple computers and phones.
I would honestly Invest in the next generation of Macbook Pro If they had kept the same old keyboard from like 2009 -2015. It’s just the way you type on them which is way more satisfying. I feel like if a single dust spectacle gets under the new keyboards they start to fail. In my opinion, the keyboard are way to thin, it’s like they over-engineered the keyboard and ruined it for the sake of sleek design.
When you think about it, the keyboard is like the most used part of the whole machine.
I would probably guess that the average customer types way to hard on the keyboard for it to last more than a year or two. The keys are thin and so fragile, I have rather large hands and I’m worried I will break the keyboard within a year or god forbid after the warranty has expired.
I have a Macbook pro retina 2014 version and it’s great, it’s has never failed me and I take good care of this baby but I am worried that I have to go back to PC if they keep releasing this crap.
Don’t get me wrong I love the new models, the screen, having only usb-c is very sexy and whole build is so solid but the keyboard is such a huge deal breaker!
