Before the return period ends, what are some tests / things to check closely on the new iPad Pros?
I’ve got the 11 inch. Got it as a replacement for my Surface while Microsoft tries to salvage it, but it’s not looking likely.
Since I am leaning towards keeping the ipad, I want to make sure I don’t have anything defective that maybe I missed on a first glance (which is what happened to mySurface and gave me a world of trouble.)
Here’s the catch: For $499 Best Buy sold me their display model that they got rid of for the new mini and airs. I have meticulously checked for bending, scratching, etc., and the employee seems to have been truthful in saying “nobody really took it out of the folio the entire time it was on display.”
I have checked to make sure it’s still under warranty (about six months left, but probably won’t qualify for Apple Care… gonna call tomorrow just to beg for mercy.)
I made sure there are no profiles on it that Best Buy or Apple would have access to, since it was a display model.
Battery life is still stellar, despite being plugged in for months straight (well over 12+ on screen time each charge.)
What else can I pay attention to as the next week goes by? I think there *might* be some dark spots in the corners, but it’s so faint I can’t tell if my eyes are playing tricks on me (paranoia lol.) If there were, would that be something Apple replaced due to being defective?
