I can’t help but think iPhones are planned obsolescence products
So I just traded in my 7 plus and upgraded to the XS (apparently it’s called the “ten S”, not “X S”)
I was planning to hold onto the 7 plus for a while since I paid it off and I’ve had it for almost 2 years. I replaced the battery under the warranty program.
But still my 7 plus was acting up like crazy. I just ran into a problem with my text messages and not being able to receive them. It’s randomly shut off on me before. The battery life is horrible – I’ve lost 40% in like 3 hours from when I left my house. Just yesterday I found out my speaker phone stopped working and the speaker just greyed out.
I’ve reset the entire phone to see if I could fix it. No dice.
I’m just convinced the updates make older phones slower and crappier to convince people to upgrade. I know about the battery controversy but even after that, I wonder if the newer updates just make it harder for older iPhones to keep up?
Have other people really used their iPhones for longer than 2 years?! I find that so hard to believe.
