Are the keyboards on the new Macbook Pro’s really that bad?
My wife currently has a 2013 Macbook Pro. The battery is going bad on it and she needs a bigger hard drive. I have no problems replacing the hard drive, but it looks like replacing the battery is a bit tricky. So we are thinking about getting her a new laptop. She really wants to stay with an Apple, but we’ve heard so many horror stories about the keyboard that we’re nervous going that direction. Just wondering if they’re really that bad or if they’ve improved them at all? She doesn’t use it for anything too intensive. Mostly web and office stuff. Plus she uses Photoshop Elements quite a bit too.
*edit*. Wow everyone thanks for all the responses! Did not expect this thread to blow up like this! I think after reading everyone’s responses I’m going to wait until June and see what happens both with new MacBooks, but also with new Windows PC’s that are coming out. And in the mean time I’m going to try to get somewhere that has them in store so she can try them out and see if she likes the feel of the current keyboard.
