Airpods from non iPhone users perspective.
So don’t get me wrong i was pretty judgemental until about last week when i was looking for a new pair of headphones.
I do think the price at £159 is a slight bit on the steep side for what the competition offers, then again i was happy to pay it so that’s all that matters. I use Android (Samsung) in general for my daily driver and i thought it might be a problem for me to use them.
So I went in for a meal at McDonald’s for a quick place to sit down and un-box them. Very sleek nice box to unpack you feel the premium right out the box i was very pleased not a lot of crappy papers to throw away either. Took them out the box and then put the box back in my pocket.
They paired instantly 1 click and boom that was it. I had a small issue with the low volume at first but this was due to the (Disable absolute volume setting) inside developer options on Android.
They say that it is less of a hassle to pair on an iPhone i don’t know how it could get any easier? When i take them out of their shell now they go on and before i can get the two of them inside my ears they are paired WALLA!!! lol
Battery has been solid never have to worry about it as the case always makes sure im good to go!
I have been using them inside my motorbike helmet and they work an ABSOLUTE TREAT they are fine in my ears inside there and they are clear for me to hear people and for people to hear me. No problems at all my girlfriend said that she couldn’t even tell i was on the bike.
The volume of them is good enough for me as i want to damage my hearing so i listen to them just over half way from the top. Still surprisingly loud and clear.
I have an app on my Samsung that allows me to tap them 4 times for Google Assistant and it has been working flawlessly. Even with my phone not within reach which helps when i need to make a call and im busy or need to send a message 😀
The end result is I am very happy with what they have offered. I love tech not brands. I don’t hate a brand just “because” it is the polar opposite.
Thanks guys for reading.
