I’m VERY upset with Apple – Macbook 12′ logic board failed and apple won’t do anything unless I pay $575.00.
So I have a 2015 Macbook 12′ that randomly died. No liquid damage and has never been dropped or abused. I took it into Apple and the Genius was very helpful and went above and beyond to get it repaired free of charge. However, he was unsuccessful. I was quoted $575 to have it repaired, as it had to be sent off. I declined due to the computer only being worth $600-$700.
This is a very common issue that should have been recalled. It is absolutely ridiculous that they are charging this extremely high cost to repair a $4.79 part and losing valued customers over it.
I currently own 2 current generation Macbook Pros, 2 i-Macs, iPhone XS Max, iPad and a Macbook Air (I use Macs every day for my business) I have been a customer of apple for over 12 years and have probably owned north of 15-20 computers which all clearly show on my account. I am very disappointed of apple for not going above and beyond to help for an issue that is EXTREMELY common and should have a recall. They lost a life long customer over a $4.79 part. Has anyone else ran into this? Any advice to make apple fix ?
