Apple Magic Keyboard and Touch ID
Since I got my MacBook Pro a couple mounth ago, I just love the Touch ID feature. It is just so convenient.
I am currently planning to get a iMac Pro, but I found that there is currently no Magic Keyboard with a Touch ID system integrated. I was expecting this to be announced with the Mac Pro, but no news here.
I saw [this reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/8tvcx8/concept_renders_of_a_bluetooth_keyboard_with/) which shows a pretty nice design of a potential Magic Keyboard with TouchBar and Touch ID.
I am sure that Apple has been thinking about this integration, but two major questions here :
* First, I am not sure we ever saw a Touch ID system connected wirelessly to the device. Not sure it is even possible, given the way the components should be linked to the T2 chip.
* And obviously there is the price problem. The keyboard is already $149.00, and a Touch Bar could rise the price up to $300.00 with the Oled screen and all.
A solution I see would be to release two Magic Keyboard :
* A *classic* Magic Keyboard, just adding the Touch ID button (like the MacBook Air)
* A TouchBar Magic Keyboard, adding the entire Touch Bar. It seems logical that they bring the Touch Bar to desktop given the new set of features introduced in Catalina.
Any thoughts about this?
