Should apple be held responsible when a software update breaks an appleTV?
So as per the title… I recently update my appleTV OS, and it broke. will no longer work, and apple refuse to do anything about it without me paying close $190 AUD. Yes, i left it on for 6hrs to do the update ( did i before i went to bed ) and there was no power outage. And it is 1 year out of warranty, and 1 month out of Consumer Law Warranty.
The “Genius” bar techs have no idea why it is not working any more.
So it looks like i have no options other than to forget about apple products and buy something else.
But my question is… should i expect this? or should they be held responsible for it seeing as it broke when i updated the OS?
