Should I get the latest iPad pro simply for the 2nd gen apple pencil?
I’ve almost driven myself mad looking at specs and features for different iPad models and generations, and I’m really in need of other opinions. I’m about to start grad school very soon and I intended to buy an iPad for paperless writing with the apple pencil. I’m basically only in need of an iPad that’s good enough for writing notes (pretty much exclusively since I’ve also got a Mac), however, I’m in love with the the 2nd gen apple pencil’s features/functionality. I’m not entirely fond of the idea of having the pencil stick out from the bottom of the iPad, have it roll around when I set it down, and not be somewhat secure (in that I’m afraid I’d lose it). With that in mind, I figured I’d get the 2nd gen pencil, but lo and behold, I found that I’m limited to the latest iPad pros! I can’t really justify spending an extra 300 bucks on an iPad for features I doubt I’d need for notetaking.
I’m truly about to go cross-eyed thinking over these things and would definitely appreciate any input.
