Could a new iPad Pro enable me to transfer tracks from a CD onto the iPad without needing a computer as a middle man?
This is the only thing stopping me from selling my MacBook Air and going all in on having an iPad instead.
I teach drums (in the UK) and use the Trinity syllabus for when students want to take exams. The playlong tracks which go with the written music come on a CD. I then use Apple’s stand alone disk drive to rip them to iTunes. I then have to transfer them to my iPhone next time I sync. During lessons, I have my phone connected to a PA system for the student to play to.
There is a lot of faff involved in the above process and is the only real reason for me keeping my MacBook.
Can any of the above be done by linking the disk drive directly to one of the new iPad Pro’s?
