Using a “random” USB-C to USB cable on IPad Pro,
Hello everyone. Today I bought an iPad Pro (latest gen) and I’m pretty happy so far. However, I was not prepared with proper cables to connect it to my PC/Powerbanks, as this is my first Device that uses strictly USB C. Luckily, I have my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller cable which is USB-C to USB, and to my surprise it actually worked. However, I am a little bit worried to use a non official cable, as I have read that USB-C specs could differ from cable to cable (meaning that they might look the same but they handle electricity with different methods).
I wanted to know if someone has experienced any long term issues using an USB-C to USB cable rather than an official USB-C to USB-C cable, Moreover, it would be great to know if via a USB-C to USB cable, I can use the power adapters from old IPads rather than the new one to charge my IPad Pro.
