Size concerns & news of an iPad 10.2″
Just as I’ve been considering getting the new iPad Pro 11″, there are rumors of the base iPad being replaced by a new 10.2″ model. I’m not sure what the new size means. Maybe it’s the 9.7″ body but with an edge to edge screen? Anyway, if it’s the base iPad, they’ll probably cut on the new features, right?
On the other hand, I’ve been worried about the 11″ being too big and expensive. My main reason for upgrading my iPad (a 9.7″ Pro) is reading: I read on it everyday, mostly PDF articles and comics. Although they’re not much different, the 10.5″ is almost 200$ cheaper (with accessories if I buy it used). The only advantage of the 11″ is its changed ratio, that allows for less unused space.
Does anyone have samples of comics/pdfs in the 10.5 and 11 to compare with the 9.7? I often find myself reading documents that are partly zoomed, since I have to squint for some details. However, since I bring it to bed often, I wonder if all that extra light will destroy my eyesight.
Any clues? Thanks
