Hi iPad maniacs!
I got an iPad Pro 12.9 2018 for over 6 months now, lovely device, use it daily.
Sadly I forgot it under a pillow on my couch and almost sat on it completely. Was bend a bit, managed to deform it back to 99% of its original position. If inspected in store, the bend would be easily recognized.
I want to replace it for free. I used to replace my iPhone regularly under warranty because of some defects (faulty battery, charging port, connection issues etc), but they offer a free replacement only if the iPhone is not broken (no broken screen, no extremely bad drop marks etc). If the iPhone is broken/deformed, they say you must first fix this issue in order for them to repair the ones that are under warranty coverage for free.
So my question is – will they replace my bent iPad, if it has some other issues – port, wifi, button or whatever comes. Do they even replace the iPads (like iPhones), or they repair them like the Macbooks? Has anyone experience going to the Apple store with some iPad problems lately?
