How do we know MasterCard isn’t selling Apple Card user data?
From Apple’s website:
> At Apple, we firmly believe in your right to privacy. That’s why we created a unique architecture for Apple Card that generates things like your transaction history and spending summaries right in the Wallet app on your iPhone.
> Of course, Goldman Sachs will use your data to operate Apple Card. But they will never share or sell your data to third parties for marketing or advertising.
This accounts for two of the three firms clearly associated with the Apple Card. But what about Mastercard? Don’t they also know what purchases I make on their network? Don’t they also do [*sketchy things*](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-30/google-and-mastercard-cut-a-secret-ad-deal-to-track-retail-sales) with that data?
How does the Apple Card protect my privacy from Mastercard?
EDIT: As u/RaritysDimond [points out](https://i.imgur.com/82e7Q6e.jpg), the Data & Privacy screen for the Apple Card indicates Mastercard has also agreed not to share or sell the data.
