Replacement iPad surprise – thanks Apple!
Last year I got a 6th gen iPad and after 6 months one of the volume buttons suddenly got stuck in – literally woke up with its button sunken in. Went to my local authorised service provider and they took my iPad and told me the repair will take like 5 days (aka a replacement was on its way). Got the iPad with the same warranty.
Fast forward to Aug this year, I noticed the Vol+ button was a bit… hmm, not as clicky, but tbh the difference was minuscule. Anyway, took it to another authorised service provider and my “suspicion” was confirmed and my 2nd replacement arrived just 2 days after I first walked into store. After setting up my iPad I noticed that most likely they activated a new one (mistake?) because my warranty was extended/restarted by one year, including the 3 month customer support. Did anyone experience this before?
Anyway… yay for a brand new iPad with brand new warranty!! Thanks Apple
