Pros and cons of a screen protector
I absolutely love the iPad Pro displays and it’s functionality with the pencil. I was wondering if anyone thought in their heads the trade offs of getting one or not.
-Protects the screen from potential scratches, drops, micro scratches etc.
-Some people prefer the matte finish because of the grip for the pencil or less visible fingerprints
-Relatively cheap for the potential protection it gives for a very expensive device
-Can be less worried about cleaning the screen
-You can be less worried all the time about people bumping into you or any accidents (assuming you have a case for the back)
-Overall decrease in quality of the beautiful display. placing a screen protector “cheapens the display”
-Pencil usability may be hindered because of the further distance the pencil is to the screen
-Dreaded Air bubbles
-Have to be very careful cleaning the screen even with a micro cloth. Making sure there are no food crumps, dust, hard particles on the screen before wiping
-Always “on edge” about accidents, drops, people bumping into you when you bring the iPad outside of your home
– A bit of added weight to the device
-May phycologically make you more reckless with the IPad if you have the back case and the screen protector, having a false sense of invincibility
