For a college student who has never bought an Apple product, would the new 10.2″ iPad be worth it despite its lack of improvement over the current models? I would only use it for notes
Hi everyone, I’m sorry that I’m asking a commonly asked question, but I’m entirely new to Apple products, and the “what should I buy” thread was old. Apologies also for any poor English.
I’m a college student and I’ve been looking into getting a tablet after seeing how many of my professors and classmates use them for note taking. With the announcement of the new 10.2″ iPad model at a lower price point, I’ve been considering buying it, but I’ve been seeing a lot of disappointment from people regarding the A10 chip and lack of much improvement over the 6th generation iPad.
For my purposes, which would be more or less only note-taking and PDF reading/annotation, and web surfing/streaming would this be a good entry point into the iPad world? Will I be able to have open two apps at once (side by side) on this new model ? Am I better off just saving up for a better model, even though my uses for it are limited to schoolwork and note-taking? Thank you for any help.
I’m happy with 32gb as I don’t plan on downloading a ton of apps. I’m not too concerned with the older processor either since I won’t be playing games or doing any intensive photo/video editing.
Although It may seem like i am answering my own question, I would just appreciate any opinions regarding the new iPad as it relates to what I would like to use it for. Thank you!
