Pencil tips: How long does one usually last for those of you using “paper-like” screen protectors?
Recently, my Pencil isn’t as precise as it used to be and I realised the tip has somehow become sharp. I do use a paper-like screen protector- I know they wear down tips much more quickly than a smooth glass surface, but the first tip only lasted 4 months before becoming unusable.
I initially thought this was due to the surface being too rough since the it seems to last quite a while for most people. So, I replaced the screen protector with the one by Elecom which had pretty positive reviews on here. It has a much finer tooth than the previous one I was using and writing is much more pleasant too. Until today I realised that my 5-day old tip already has visible wear on it!! While the tip is still roundish, the sides look shaved down, kind of flat and shiny.
Is this normal?? I don’t know if it’s just a defective batch or I’m just holding the Pencil wrongly lmao. I hold it just like I would with a pen and write at an angle, and I don’t press hard to write. If anything, I try to write as light-handed as possible to avoid putting excess pressure on the screen.
Anyone has similar experiences or thoughts about this?
