Annoying iPadOS change to Safari
iPadOS added a step to closing multiple tabs at once:
Before the update: tap and hold the squares icon in the top right corner then tap “Close all X tabs”. Done
Now: tap and hold the squares icon in the top right corner then tap “Close all X tabs”. And now you get the annoying “are you sure..” question that you have to tap through. Yes, I’m sure. I already took 2 affirmative steps toward closing all the tabs. Why do I need to do a 3rd?
It’s seems like it is a carry over from the desktop Safari where one stray click on the red ‘X’ might close all of your tabs inadvertently. You can’t make that mistake on the iPad.
Apple apparently forgot the adage ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.
