Unexpectedly surprised!

I will start this off with I love android and have always preferred android over iOS. The main reasons are freedom of choosing what programs default. The ability to not have a bunch wasted space with folders full of apps. Home screen widgets that show the information I like at a glance. The notifications are better in IMO.
While I do go between iOS and android at least once a year. I alway land back with an iPhone. Up until this max pro and iOS 13. I put up with iOS because it makes my work life that much easier. I have consider have 2 phones but I just don’t want to deal with 2 devices I have to have on me all the time. Every year I try to make android work and while I can. The issues is accountability. That’s where iMessage comes in. I have to deal with a lot of medical device reps. I can’t afford to not have the devices I need when I requested them. Everyone I deal with in my office to the medical reps all have iPhones. Communication is just easier and hassle free with no worries of did they get my message.
This brings me to the current max pro and iOS 13. I reluctantly went back after about 2 months. The very first thing I noticed was the insane battery life of this phone. I have only charged it when it is connected to Apple CarPlay and it has yet to drop below 50% battery. I have only had this phone for a week, but that stupidly good and I have never experienced that on any android device ever.
I will say I miss the 90hz screen in the pixel 4xl. Talk about smooth. Compared to the xs max, my call quality is massively improved. I was dreading that the most, iPhones on sprints network have never had the best call quality compared to android in my experience.
Siri seams to have improved, still not google assistant good but definitely better. Especially when sending messages while driving. Before I would just not reply because the dictation was horrible. Now I have yet to correct a message that was dictated. Also seems faster at controlling my home devices. Even more so than my google home hub.
Apple CarPlay is way better that android auto will ever be. I was using the updated android auto for the last couple of months. I used the updated Apple car play with beta 13. It wasn’t as polished as it is now. I love the home screen set up. It shows IMO the 3 best things. Music, map and directions. All I have to do is just glance over and know what I need to do. No switching between apps just to get what I want to see now. I know this iOS based not iPhone, it is my favorite feature about being back on iPhone.
Anyways it looks like I may stop fighting iOS and iPhone after this experience. There are somethings that I do miss with android. At this point they are not enough to get me to go back. While I love android and the freedom it provides. The whole eco system seems fractured by who makes the best android phone. None of them provides a user experience like iOS does when everything actually works.
