Comparing the Bose QC35 to the AirPod Pros
Before buying the AirPod Pros I wondered if they could replace my Bose, and some people expressed online this was the case.
Unfortunately an experiment naturally arose that allowed to to truly test the Bose QC35 vs. the new Apple AirPod Pros. Next door from my house there is a construction site currently thumping metal plates into the ground.
The QC35 are simply superior in this setting. By and large I think they sound better and are much better at canceling out the world, especially louder noises. That does not mean the Pros are bad at all. They are an **amazing** upgrade to the original AirPods while maintaining the small package everyone loves. Listening to my audio book on my commute is really nice now, as they shield the narrator’s voice off from all that happens around. Same with music.
But the noise cancellation and sound quality are in my ears (…) much better on the QC35. These products don’t really compare. They feel like separate categories:
* If you want buds and not headphones, pick the Pros. Their portability *is* the product.
* If you don’t mind headphones and a large box, pick the QC35.
* If you need the best noise cancellation and can manage the size of headphones, pick the QC35.
My thoughts, should you wonder what to buy (:
