Even though we’re almost on 13.4 now, iPadOS is still the most bug-laden software I’ve ever used. How is this thing even allowed to be released?
As consumers, we trust that every time we update the software on our devices, the experience would be *better*, not worse. We trust that updating is a good thing – it means a better user experience, more security, and safer software. But when something as bug-laden as iPadOS is allowed to be released to the public by one of the most reputable brands in tech, we start to wonder what the hell is going on. For example, my iPad runs 13.3.1 right now and if you sat down with me for 5 minutes I can show you a handful of right-in-your-face and inexcusable bugs that makes for a painful and frustrating user experience. A bug that makes certain characters on the floating keyboard take up half the keyboard, making it unusable, bugs that zoom the page if you switch away and back to the app, etc. For the life of me I don’t know how these things escape QC – do they even have a QC? A team of 1st graders can spot these glaring issues. I feel like I’m running a beta!
