With Facebook and Google failing to develop for iOS, is Microsoft filling the gap?
There have been some recent posts commenting on [Instagram’s lack of an iPad app](https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/f59tvb/instagram_ceo_says_ipad_app_hasnt_been_made_yet/), Google’s painfully slow rollout of Gmail’s dark mode (not to mention the state of Docs and Sheets on iPad), [WhatsApp finally getting dark mode](https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/f6yrjd/finally_dark_mode_is_now_available_in_the_latest/) months after the release of the feature, and the [lack of features for Facebook’s main app](https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/d9a5kl/facebooks_lack_of_feature_updates_for_their_apps/) (granted, this post is 4 months old).
But Microsoft seems to be developing for iOS and iPadOS at a steady rate, especially with their [recent announcement](https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/f6cixd/microsoft_office_app_released_for_iphone_combines/) of Microsoft Office, which combines Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (something I wish Google would do with Drive) with a UI designed for mobile.
Is this view warranted? Is Microsoft developing more/better apps than Facebook and Google? What do you think?
